After having climbed Kilimanjaro in 2012 I was looking for a new physical challenge. For the first time in my life I was capable of running 21k. The next step seemed logical: running a complete marathon.
I was ambitous enough to run a marathon abroad. Running in a world city would make the experience even better. But which city? London has one of the most famous marathons in the world, but even Scandinavia seemed great to me. Or why not run a traditional marathon in Athens, where it all started?
Eventually I chose destinations to run in, all over Europe. All in one years. My plans changed however, when I decided to climb the Mont Blanc, the same year. I decided to only run three marathons instead: Rome, Paris and London. All of them in only five weeks.
