Terwijl je deze blog leest, ben ik op weg naar Antigua, Guatemala. Het land dat grenst aan Mexico is dan ook de start van onze Pan-American Highway roadtrip avontuur.

As you are reading this blog I’m on my way to Antigua, Guatemala.  The country bordering Mexico will be the start of our Pan-American Highway roadtrip adventure. 

No itinerary, no end date

Ik zeg ‘onze’want het grootste deel van de trip zal ik vergezeld zijn van Luna, een Guatemalaanse met wie ik samen rijd naar het zuidelijkste punt van het Zuid-Amerikaanse continent. Een reis met geen vastgelegd reisschema, geen einddatum, maar heel veel verwachtingen.

Het enige wat ik al met zekerheid kan zeggen is dat er – zoals steeds- heel wat avonturen zullen inzitten. Denk maar aan het beklimmen van actieve vulkanen, tijd doorbrengen in de jungle en het spotten van wildlife.

I say ‘our’ because most of my trip I will be accompanied by Luna, a Guatemalan local with whom I will be driving towards the southern tip of the South American continent. A journey with no fixed itinerary, no end date but lots of expectations. 

The only thing I can say, is that – as always – epic adventures will be embarked. Think of climbing active volcanoes, spending time in jungle, wildlife encounters, etc…

Tijdens de reis zal ik doen wat ik het leukst vindt: het schrijven van avontuurlijke reisverhalen. Op die manier kan je zelf een beetje mee op avontuur. Alles komt hier op de blog.
